Installing PEAR2/Pyrus

Hello, It's my first take on pear & pyrus. What I'm trying to do in set up a pear channel. In order to do packaging I'm trying to also install the PEAR2_Pyrus-2.0.0a3 but that gives me an exception: # php pyrus.phar install PEAR2_Pyrus-2.0.0a3 PEAR2\Pyrus\Installer\Exception: Installation failed PEAR2\Pyrus\AtomicFileTransaction\MultiException: Unable to begin transaction PEAR2\Pyrus\IOException: unrecoverable transaction error: cannot create journal path /usr/.journal-bin PEAR2\Pyrus\AtomicFileTransaction\RuntimeException: Cannot rollback - not in a transaction Can someone please help me understand that and what could be done to fix it.
