This depends on what $this->options['db_fields'] contains:
$query = sprintf("SELECT %s FROM %s",
$this->options['db_fields'],
$this->options['table']
);
By default, $this->options['db_fields'] is '*', but you can
change the value by passing a different value in the parameter
array of the Auth constructor, that also contains the DSN
etc.
