Why not? Perhaps it will be useful one time.

IMO, PEAR_Common::infoFromDescriptionFile() was originally
intended to fetch the information from package.xml, but
$packager->pkginfo[] seemingly does the same job.
Tomorrow I'll commit a first version of MkPackage.php to pearweb. First
of all I'm going to have a little bit of party right now :).
