The different seems to be small but isn't. Take a look on Perl or Java. The
PHP-include() inserts only a script into another by the given path. Import()
should creates a new namespace and looking for a package in a something like a
classpath. This classpath should be extendable by the PHP-script also in
safe-mode&co.
Especially there is a difference between including a class and using a package.
in Perl you can write
use HTML // includes the complete package
or
use HTML::Template // includes only a special part of the package
( in Java too)
try such stuff with an included PHP-classes...
