There is already a class that does XPath very similar to my
XML_XPath and is the idea I based my class on (I was actually
working on the project for a while). It is run by Nigel Swinson and
it is over at sourceforge at
sourceforge.net/projects/phpxpath
They are in version 3.0 and it is quite stable, along with a fairly
active mailing list. If any XPath class deserves to be in PEAR that
is powered by string manipulation, it is this class. The only
reason it is not yet in PEAR is that Nigel says that he does not
"understand what PEAR is and what it is for." I have tried to
explain it to him, but he didn't really think it was necessary at
first...if an e-mail came from one of the leads of PEAR inviting his
class in, he would definitely upload it. Check him out.
