I don't think that this is exactly what Louis plans to implement: IMO
he has some methods to simply do:
$db = new Whatsoever("mysql://...");
$db->insert(array('foo' => 'bar', 'baz' => 123));
IMO you can't use DB_DataObject that way, no?
