Cool, at some point I was thinking on doing that as part of Clustering
algorithms. If you got some code already, go for it.

Two options:
1) If you are going to create one from scratch or wrap a C lib with a simple
API, you can find info in an appendix of the PHP manual, there are also some
examples in cvs.php.net/cvs.php/pear/PECL
2) If you rather wrap a big lib (like GSL or something like that), then look
into SWIG that can help doing the grunt work of writing the wrapping functions
and other hooks simple.
