Hi,
I have been working on the config class recently and it is almost ready. At
the moment, it only parses PHP .ini files with comments (doesn't use
php_parse_ini) and Apache configuration files (httpd.conf style).
The improvements makes it a totally new class. The API has changed a lot and
the class now works with tree structures, just like the XML_Tree class, but
with references to parents. Every item in the configuration datasource is
considered as an object which has the following methods:
- addItem
- insertItem
- removeItem
- getItem
- getItemIndex
- getParent
- setContent
... Some accessor methods.
Some methods are available from the subclass container:
- toString (in case it's possible)
- parseDatasrc
- writeDatasrc
The config object in itself is just an initializer, nothing more. Most of
the work is done in the Config_Container where the logic is.
I am ready to make a commit to CVS, probably with a new release tag so that
users understand the API has changed and are still able to use the old
version if they prefer.
I am leaving next week for holidays for 2 weeks, so let me know if you are
interested to see it in the CVS.
Cheers,
Bertrand Mansion
