It seems to be connected with the PEAR installer code. Could you please
try, if it's possible for you, to build PHP from latest CVS? During
"make install" some message like "[PEAR] :: tgz :: could not get
contents of package ..." should occur.
I will also try to collect some more detailed information this evening.
