Some time ago I announced the new class for translation handling purposes - and had some discussions about this class with Wolfram Kriesing and Bret Cook. However I haven't managed to get votes, that are crucial for registering this class in PEAR. I already have the CVS account - and would like to contribute this class as it is going to be used by Wolfram's I18N class, and also available as alone. Can I please have some votes (if someone thinks, it's bad idea - then also vote against :) I will at least know, that I am not going the good direction :) ) If someone wants to see this class - it is right now available on http://voyteck3.free.komrel.net/translation/
sorry for not replying yet (i was busy and sick). actually i say +1 too! i just wanted to give it a thought, of how the different approaches can be wrapped into on package, which might be under I18N ... i tried to explain that in the last thread by different approaches i mean, two things: - the source where the data are read from, file, db, gettext, array... - how the translation is handled, via constants, like MAIL_MESSAGE (Wojciech's suggestion), or using the strings 'You have % mails' (Markus' suggestion) and all the other ways may be constructing such a framework/API is too time consuming and it scares off some people to commit code ... dont know anyway ... i think commit your approach Wojciech, and may be one day we can find and build the API out of the best approaches available, i would be glad! -- Wolfram .. translating template engine .... http://sf.net/projects/simpletpl .. authentication system .... http://sf.net/projects/auth
