it is certainly a good idea. Try phpDocumentor using XML output and HTML output as a test and see how it goes.

On my repository, the manual is correctly linked with phpDocumentor Cache_Lite output.
What is the best way now ?
=> Commit this to the peardoc CVS and work directly on it (in order to get some feedback about mistakes) ?
=> Commit the cache-lite directory on the CVS but not the link with the manual (caching.xml) (feedback but no risk for manual publication)
=> Commit anything until the result is really ok for publication ? (no feedback at all :-()
