HELP!
Never used SSH before (though I have used telnet) and my host won't install pear for me without me paying some extoriant fee to do so!
I've logged in and entered the line to install the pear package manager...
$ lynx -source http://go-pear.org/ | php
but all I got was...
sh: $: command not found
Content-type: text/html
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.3
Anyone ever done this from os x before ???
I've already tried the web installer, but although it appears to install ok and I get no include errors for the pear libs from my site (for DB.php, Mail.php etc) I can't seem to access any methods (though it is namely the 'query') so my code always breaks. here's the error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: query() in /hsphere/local/home/jonbenne/_lib/_classes/class.news.php on line 243
that is a pear method isn't it ??? Any ideas ??
Cheers,
Jon
