DB::prepare/execute and PostgreSQL

Looking through DB/pgsql.php is seems that PEAR:DB is emulating prepare/execute statements for postgresql. Postgresql does support prepared statements: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/interactive/sql-prepare.html http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/interactive/sql-execute.html Are there technical reasons why this hasn't been included in PEAR:DB or has it just not been implemented yet? culley
