Hi, I am investigating methods to migrate an existing telnet
based app to PHP, and would appreciate any comments/advice
anyone may have.
Features I will need:
- Allow the user to fill in some fields on a form, and build a SELECT from this.
- Allow a result set to persist, so that the user can make a selection as above,
and then choose a 'process result set' option to perform some action on
each selected row.
- Maintain locks somehow to avoid simultaneous update problems
(perhaps a double timeout - both in jscript on the page, and via timestamps on the server)
These are the kind of things built into the legacy development systems,
but is there standard stuff out there to do it with PHP?
TIA,
Peter
