Could you try with:
error_reporting(E_ALL);
PEAR::setErrorHandling(PEAR_ERROR_DIE);
And please, if you are going to send a binary file don't include it in the
message, just leave it somewhere it can be downloaded from.

Hi Im using Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer 0.6 with OLE 0.5 (Also tried 0.3
as it was what was listed explicitly as dependency) but when I send the
file and save it I get a file which is open by Excel showing the "text"
of the file. No errors but NOT a spread sheet. The file produced
looks like this:
THE FILE STARTS RIGHT BELOW THIS LINE(NOTICE LOTS POF EMPTY LINE BEFORE
START OF DATA)
<lot of data erased/>
