Hi,
I just want to inform you, that I was able to solve the problem with the
kind help of Klaus Guenthers.
Firstly, I had to add the path to php to the path environment variable
on my Windows XP system. After the installation of the PEAR::Installer I
run the created "PEAR_ENV.reg" file, in which the setting of the php
enviroment variable was missing. Bug or feature?
Secondly, this bug report helped me to fix a subsequent problem.

Thanks to all and best regards,
