Auth problem

I installed Auth-1.3.0r2 Auth.php,v 1.86 2004/07/04 16:52:20 yavo Exp $ I'm trying to get Auth to cover several files in the same directory. It works fine on the main index.php file. How do I get it to allow checking auth of the user on other files.
