When updating my shared hosts with my pear classes, I'm actually using the standard "pear install [class]" on my local development machine where I CAN control paths, .ini files, etc. Then I have a "toolbox" directory (outside the website home directory) on the shared hosts that all my websites pull from. In this toolbox directory is my PEAR folder structure that I just synchronize with my local PEAR install. I don't download the pear install files from the website because of the possibility of version numbers and all. Just let your local machine perform the install like the package wants to and synchronize your remote directory. I hope that answered question #3 of your 2 questions. <grin> If you don't have the ability to use a local machine, I'm afraid I won't be much help. matte - matte@arubanetworks.com webmonkey / arubanetworks.com / airheads04.com / wi-fi-it.com Joanne wrote:
Hi Matte: Thanks much for the help. I have 2 more silly questions: <snip> 3. For require.once, often what is stated is something like HTML/Form.php however, when we unzip it, they often include the version information - must this be deleted or is the file automatically detected? Thanks again!
