Hi,

If I want to produce unique names for uploaded files, the current 'uniq' naming convention is good, but has some problems. 1) Doesn't reserve the original name of the file( "UserGuide[2].pdf" is still better than "ssakjhDsdfd23213dsfds.pdf")Depends on the purpose :)
2) The names are TOO long! they require more database space, and make HTML files bigger(Few bytes only)This shouldn't mean a problem in most cases.
I want to be able to have unique names in the following format userGuide.pdf userGuide[1].pdf userGuide[2].pdf I noticed that this is not yet implemented. If you think this is a feature everybody might need, I will work on the package and add this option.I'd love this feature. I guess if you do it and post your code to this list, no one will have objections. -- Regards, Norbert Mocsnik http://norbert.mocsnik.hu/
