I'm trying to setup PEAR on a linux shared host so that I can access a mySQL DB and I've followed the instructions on http://pear.php.net <http://pear.php.net/> and also an article I found on Builder.com at http://builder.com.com/5100-6371-5163311.html. I was wondering if anyone has successful done this? I am having some difficulty in getting it to work. I created a folder called Pear under my public_html folder and threw everything in there, but when I try to run any of the test scripts that come with Pear they bomb out with errors like they can't find anything.
