WOW! Thanks! it is working, which almost makes up for croatia's loss this morning! what does the warning here mean? (warning : you are using an archive with an old format) [localhost:/usr/local/bin] root# /usr/local/bin/pear install HTTP_Upload downloading HTTP_Upload-0.8.tgz ... ...done: 7,718 bytes warning : you are using an archive with an old format install ok: HTTP_Upload 0.8 [localhost:/usr/local/bin] root# HTML_Quickform is working as well.... So this means I wont have to build a form ever again? David On Thursday, June 13, 2002, at 09:39 AM, Bertrand Mansion wrote:
Hi David, Did you manage to install pear using go-pear ? In order to do so under MACOSX, you need to download the script directly from your browser or use curl. To get the script go to this page: http://pear.php.net/go-pear Save the script to your disk and change its permissions to make it executable. Then, from the terminal, just do a /path/to/go-pear This will install all the needed files in the right places. You can use the defaults to install pear on your system. If needed, modify your include_path in your php.ini Make sure you have already installed the php executable. You might need to login to the php cvs server prior to the installation. If it is needed, you will get an error from go-pear telling you so. Once installed, just type 'pear install HTML_Common' and 'pear install HTML_QuickForm' from the terminal to get it installed. Please post your success or failure report. Thanks, Bertrand Mansion Mamasam
