I guess it is not the characters set on the page that matters.
I had checked the HTML source and realise that when displayed as values of the text elements of
quickform, the "&" signs are converted to its html entites, "&".
What I don't understand is that when it is displayed as text, it works fine. The
"&" sign is not converted. But when it comes to values of text element, the
"&" sign is converted, causing the whole thing to look like
"酥" when it should be "酥" for example.
What can I do to change just the "&" to the "&" sign in the value of
the text element so that it will show up correctly on the HTML source, allowing the characters to be
shown?
Thanks

What character set are you using on your pages?
