upgrade: DB, install: fileinfo

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade some PEAR packages and install one new. I'm a real rookie with PEAR and PECL :( RedHat 7.3 PHP 4.3.4 Apache 1.3.27 This is what I get, when trying to upgrade DB: [root@atway pear]# pear upgrade DB downloading DB-1.7.2.tgz ... Starting to download DB-1.7.2.tgz (127,242 bytes) .............................done: 127,242 bytes no script destination directory And when I try a .tgz file: [root@atway pecl]# pear upgrade DB-1.7.2.tgz Invalid postfix '-1.7.2.tgz', be sure to pass a valid PEAR version number or release state The currently installed version is: [root@atway pecl]# pear list Installed packages: =================== Package Version State Archive_Tar 1.1 stable Auth_SASL 1.0.0 stable Console_Getopt 1.0 stable DB 1.5.0RC2 stable ... What am I doing wrong? :( And also: how do I install a 'fileinfo' package from PECL?
