Bonjour,

Hi, I installed the 'php4-pear.rpm' on both SuSE 9.2 and 9.3 together with apache2 using SuSE YaST. Both distributions seem to screw up PEAR, because if I call "pear list" I get NO output! This is very strange, because there are obviously a couple of packages installed together with PEAR itself, but not even the latter shows up in the "pear list"-output. It looks like as if pear is unable to read its own configuration/registry. Surprisingly it IS possible to install packages. These get also properly displayed by the "pear list" command afterwards, although it's weird not to see PEAR itself as being installed... :) Anybody out there who saw the same behaviour and knows a way out? Regards, Marko P.S.: I've never seen such a thing before, probably since I always compiled PHP4 from the sources. SuSE uses instead seperate RPMs for every single package, which is in principle a good idea, but I wonder whether PEARs registry gets kept up to date properly. What pear version is bundled in there ?Can you output: pear -V pear config-show It could be an install location problem, what would mean you have *2* installed locations perhaps, one frome SuSE and one from pear... Check this one to set the config: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=pear-general&m=112097006209049&w=2 Could be also it concerns : http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=pear-dev&m=112110780020655&w=2 à+ -- bertrand "toggg" Gugger
