I recently tried installing PEAR DV using the examples in the manual. I had
one setback early on in that I had turned OFF short_open_tag but I turned
it on AFTER the PEAR install and got further. Basically, I am accessing an
Oracle 8i database and ran createTables.php and got the following:
Ok, Its not been tested AFAIK on oracle 8i, but there shouldnt be too many changes required.
on line 152 of generator.php this line is commented out.
//print_r($this->_definitions);
if you turn it back on and send the results, It should begin to track down the problem.
It looks like the pear db $database->tableInfo($table) is returning something unexpected.

First, every TABLE.php included the line:
var $; // ()
Which produced errors when I ran my test script. When I pulled these out, I
got (with the following .ini)...
