RE: [PEAR] How to install a local copy of PEAR and after use it ina Hosting Service

Hi: Finally I have PEAR installed on my PC. I use a new go-pear.phar file download from the PEAR site as Greg say me. Now I have a problem and a question. The problem is that when I try this: --------------------------------------------------- D:\WebServer\WWW\simpro\includes>pear list-all --------------------------------------------------- I got this message error: --------------------------------------------------- Connection to `pear.php.net:80' failed: A connection attempt fai connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. --------------------------------------------------- How or where I can setup a proxy conection? The question is: When I move my site to a hosting server? I can't any problem with using my local PEAR? This is a known bug in go-pear.phar distributed with PHP 5.1.1 and 5.1.0 download http://pear.php.net/go-pear.phar and replace your existing one with it, this will fix the problem. Greg
