I have installed php on a windows XP Pro workstation, expanded go-pear, got command line PEAR
functionality and installed 'DB' package. I have Apache 1.3.33 recognizing php and a mysql
server 4.1.9 running.
I've tried running the included test suite for DB with little success. Windows doesn't
appear to like ./ paths (or .\ either, for that matter) for the *.inc files so I replaced them with
full pathnames just to see if the suite would run.
This allowed me to get a PASS for the '01connect.phpt' test (which accesses MySQL and
creates a couple of tables) but the '02fetch.phpt' FAILED because it was looking for a
non-existent file 'droptable.inc' which is not included with the suite.
Since I am totally new to php (the extent of my programming being VBA behind MS-Office 97 apps), I
don't know whether this file is supposed to be created during the testing or it should have
been included with the installation.
Does the failure of the test suite indicate an incorrect installation of the 'DB' package
or can I safely ignore it?
Any assistance/comments would be greatly appreciated.
