Is there anyway possible for HTML_Ajax to do remote calls on a server ? Im needing it to interface to my nusoap server and was hoping i could send the xml message data via HTML_Ajax. Im getting this error when testing in mozilla Permission Denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open ? This is trying to use the call method, i was wondering if the call method can post to a url with param data ? Or am i going to have to use the raw XMLHttpRequest code for this one ?? -- PEAR General Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
Yes it looks like you need to add this or a flag setting to enable it try {
    netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege("UniversalBrowserRead");
} catch (e) {
    alert("Permission UniversalBrowserRead denied.");
} Its not possible, only scripts with elevated privlediges can set UniversalBrowserRead
Plus thats a mozilla specific solution Oh and you don't want to do it since it makes it easy to own your site with cross site scripting attacks. -josh
