Hi guys,
Me again!
On Saturday I thought I'd installed pear on my debian box. I never got round
to testing until this morning when my script told me I had a pear problem
(via a db->query() error message.
I do not seem to be able to run the 'pear' command.
If I type
'which pear'
I get
/usr/local/bin/pear
Now /usr/local/bin/pear is a file, not a directory and it doesn't do
anything.
Typing 'more pear' gives me:
======================================================================
#!/bin/sh
# first find which PHP binary to use
if test "x$PHP_PEAR_PHP_BIN" != "x"; then
PHP="$PHP_PEAR_PHP_BIN"
else
if test "/usr/local/bin/php" = '@'php_bin'@'; then
PHP=php
else
PHP="/usr/local/bin/php"
fi
fi
# then look for the right pear include dir
if test "x$PHP_PEAR_INSTALL_DIR" != "x"; then
INCDIR=$PHP_PEAR_INSTALL_DIR
INCARG="-d include_path=$PHP_PEAR_INSTALL_DIR"
else
if test "/usr/local/lib/php" = '@'php_dir'@'; then
INCDIR=
dirname $0
INCARG=""
else
INCDIR="/usr/local/lib/php"
INCARG="-d include_path=/usr/local/lib/php"
fi
fi
exec $PHP -C -q $INCARG -d output_buffering=1 $INCDIR/pearcmd.php "$@"
======================================================================
Can anyone help me solve my problem?
For info I have ssh access via PuTTY, and there is no windowing environment
on the server.
Cheers
George
