Quickform: required rule in groups

I have a little problem using required fields in groups. In a group if all the elements have the "required" rule an asterisk is displayed. But if a group has a static element the asterisk is not displayed anymore; in effect I can't add the "required" rule to a static element because the static element doesn't have any value. There is a way to have group asterisk displayed even if the group has static elements? Thank you very much Piviul
