Either install the extension or force the installer to install anyway. If you "have the extension installed" make sure that it's installed for the command-line PHP as well. How can i found that the extension is installed? The Log package (aparently) depends on sqlite. I'm not sure why this is honestly. (Jon Parise, if you're listening, why does Log depend on sqlite? Shouldn't this be an optional dependency?) In any case, you need the sqlite extension to use Log. The PEAR installer checks for you and it either isn't installed or isn't turned on.
Must i install it over the packages from debian ?If debian has it, go ahead. If not, you can try installing it from pecl (http://pecl.php.net). Someone just asked this same question yesterday, check the archives for mor eon installing the extension.
Can you give me more information. force the installer to install anyway. What do you mean here? Which installer? The PEAR installer. It is possible to force it to ignore dependencies to install. This isn't a good idea normally, though. "pear help" -- Justin Patrin
