The variable prefix isn't compatible with the 4 and 5 versions, set the
attribute generator_var_keyword to 'var' if PHP 4 or 'private' or
'public'
for PHP 5 in the .ini file that you are passing to createTables.php.
You can implement it in the createTables.php by hacking a code that checks
the PHP version and sets $option['generator_var_keyword'] = 'var' or
'public' or 'private', depends on what you want. Do it before call
generator->start(). In PHP 5 by default it is public.
Sorry by my poor english.
Good luck.
