Hi Mauro,
you can either set the removeBlockIfEmpty variable to false while calling
loadTemplatefile.
example:
$tpl = new HTML_Template_IT('./tpl');
$tpl->loadTemplatefile("myTemplate.tpl", false, false);
or you can just "touch" the block to preserve it:
$tpl = new HTML_Template_IT('./tpl');
$tpl->loadTemplatefile("myTemplate.tpl", true, true);
$tpl->touchBlock("__global__");
