I: HTML_Template_IT question

Hi, I have a question about HTML_Template_IT package. Is it possible to use the template also for pages without variables? I would like to load the template and be able to parse it even if there isn't any block/variable in it. I just need the content of the file.. I could use the php function file_get_contents(), but I prefer use the same way to load templates. If I load a template that doesn't have any block/variable then its content ($tpl->get()) is empty.
