Hi,
had the same problem under Windows 2000 and just solved it 5 Minutes ago (or
at least got a little further :-)
It's the pear.in file: The one that was installed with PHP4.2.3 had no
CVS-Tag ($ID...) and complained about the undefined function getoptions().
So I got myself the pear.in from the PEAR-Package at
http://pear.php.net/package-info.php?pacid=14
(opened the Zip-File and
extracted pear.in to my \pear\scripts-directory). Now 'pear list' and 'pear
list' do what they're supposed to do and 'pear install' seems to work, too.
Happy PEARing
