With one of the SOAP packages, I simply created a simple PHP script with a
few functions then at the bottom I called a method of the soap server to
register the functions as exposed services. Then on the client I
instantiated the soap client, gave it the server, function and args to
call and it worked. I did a simple test script in a matter of a few
minutes. The support for WSDL at the time was experimental and I believe
this same package is now part of PEAR::SOAP (I can't verify that right
now). Anyway, there are some WSDL generators out there that can help you
out a lot...the WSDL syntax takes a bit of getting use to.
