DB::execute issue in insert or update with mysql

Hello Folks, I don't know maybe i do something wrong in the execute, in my case an insert or update. Following sample code: $sql = "Update BUDGET_USERS set BGT_log=NOW() where BGT_uid='".$query['uid']."'"; $my->execute($sql); OR $my->query($sql); Both does not generate any errors, but they don't work. I have tried it as well like the sample on the pear page via array. Same- No error and no update. Thanks in forward.
