Hi,
In addition to my previous message the following code also doesn't behave like you would expect:

require 'HTML/QuickForm.php';
$form = new HTML_QuickForm;
$checkbox = $form->addElement('checkbox','is_allowed','Some check', null);
$checkbox->setChecked(true);
echo $checkbox->getChecked();
$form->display();
?>
