I've made a task for Phing (http://binarycloud.com/phing/) which goes through the given files and generates the <filelist> part of the package.xml based on the @pear.role tags found in the files. So if e.g. a file named foo.php in the directory bar contains @pear.role php <dir name="bar"> <file role="php">foo.php</file> </dir> will be generated. Other parts of the package.xml file can be handled by using a replace tag. I have for example <version>@VERSION@</version> in the package.xml template file and @VERSION@ is at build time replaced with the version given in the build.properties file. Release notes etc can be added the same way. Anyways, this was not exactly what you were asking for but I find it quite handy. -- Joakim Andersson ; ja@morrdusk.net ; http://morrdusk.net
