yes, I remember that and I'll give it a try!
I knew about this even before (since I'm a little interested in your
project, as you certainly remember) I posted my question to the list, but
I hoped that there would be somewhere else a real PEAR tool in
preparation. I guess it would good to suggest your approach as a common
tool which could be bundled with PEAR. Of course you'd still have to take
care of the description, authors etc. But the whole directory structure
would be taken care of automatically...
