PJ,
Never seen your problem, but I, also, use a local PEAR instead of the
system one, and from the looks of your paths we're both on something
unixlike. I have a Makefile in the same directory as the .ini file
which does roughly this:
--------
PEAR =
pwd/../pear
createTables = $(PEAR)/DB/DataObject/createTables.php
mydb.ini: myconfig.ini
php4 -d include_path="$(PEAR):." $(createTables) pwd/myconfig.ini
--------
To summarize: I'm giving a complete path (starting with /) to the .ini file;
plus I'm forcing PHP to use my chosen Pear, also with a complete path.
Our config files look similar, except I'm also using the extends
feature with excellent results. This is kind of an aside, but having
the custom base class ("extends" and "extends_location") has been a
huge help for my project, whose class model makes use of all three
layers of data object inheritance. If anyone needs details, I can
summarize how this feature works; the manual could use a little more
material on this subject to encourage more people to use it.
