I actually found out about the name conflict and restarted the installation
of the the pear installer while changing the name of the pear directory to
'pear_dir' so that the pear file could be written. That solved my issue.
I can now run the pear.bat, but there is one more error:
Console_Getopt: Could not read cmd args (register_argc_argv=Off?)
The rest comes up just fine but no command will work because of the above
error. Any idea?
