Try re-installing it but change the 3rd option to not create the directory
as 'pear' but something that will not cause a name conflict like 'pear_dir'.
I just solved that issue for myself.
However, I got stuck not too far ahead: when I type in a command in
pear.bat, I get the following error in the output:
Console_Getopt: Could not read cmd args (register_argc_argv=Off?)
Let me know if you find the answer.
