I am having trouble getting the Imagick extension to work and am looking for
any suggestions on what to do. My system information is as follows.
Redhat Linux 7.3
ImageMagick-5.5.6
php-4.3.2RC2
Imagick 0.9.6
PHP Config:
'./configure' '--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs' '--prefix=/usr'
'--with-config-file-path=/etc' '--with-gettext=/usr'
'--with-mysql=/usr'
'--with-zlib=/usr' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr' '--with-png-dir=/usr'
'--with-tiff-dir=/usr' '--with-ttf=/usr' '--with-imagick=/usr'
'--with-pgsql=/usr/local/pgsql' '--with-dom' '--enable-ftp=/usr'
'--enable-exif=/usr' '--enable-magic-quotes' '--enable-wddx'
'--enable-calendar' '--enable-trans-sid'
The main problem right now is that when I try to run the example script to
resize an image, I receive a PHP Error to the effect of "Maximum execution
Time of 30 seconds exceeded."
I have tried messing with file permissions of the directory the script is
being run from even granting full permissions (777) thinking that would make
a difference, I have also tried editing the resize script with the absolute
path to the 'example' image included in the distribution with no luck.
As far as I can tell the extension itself compiled correctly and it does
appear in the output of the phpinfo() command. I have tried updating all the
relevant software on my system (ImageMagcik, PHP, Apache etc), but the
problem persists.
I am really at a loss, as to where to go now. Any suggestions? Are there
any functions in the extension to get debug info??
Thanks in advance.
Alan
