Sorry but after re-compiling i have a different error also concerning the DB connection: DB Error : No such database but the database defiend in the $dsn does exist! By the way, looking at my phpinfo(), i saw nothing about postgresql but the DB-error message has changed from "extension not found" in "no such database" -- any ideas someone, its really frustrating, i have a diploma-thesis to do and cannot begin to do the php-programming! I'm just compiling php again, you were right, i compiled it without postgreSQL support the first time. Thanks a lot. Torsten
it sound's like Postgresql support is laking in your php install . a simple phpinfo() should confirm that. In this case, you should compil php with --pgsql option hope it helps Regards -- Xavier
