New Quickform elements

Hi all, I've read in the mail archive about people putting the HTML textarea in to Quickform elements. However I've not seen any PHP element code in the public domain. Could anybody share there working verion of the element if possible? Has anybody done other elements for use with Quickform? Would be nice if there was a collection on a webpage, kind of like Smarty plugins :) Other things which could be made are pop up calendars, dhtml sliders, +/- numeric boxes.
