I saw a nice one @ http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/datepicker/datepicker.html
-
however it wasn't the pop-up type. Another one which was pop up is available
at http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex6/popcalendar.htm

http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/
does the best HTML
textarea replacement I know of, and (as has been mentioned on this list
before) the new v3 works in Mozilla and IE.
If you make some which are IE only, maybe falling back to something else -
or just fail - if the browser is not IE - then there are plenty of neat
little widgets.
Check out http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/select/jsGenerated.html
for a
replacement select list, embedded graphics and styles too!
How about a tooltip to give the user hints on data format to enter in the
form, use http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/tooltip/tooltip.html
and you can have
styles, rather than just plain text. IE only though :-/

I think http://webfx.eae.net/ is a cool start. Some highlights
are:-
A slider for selecting a percentage or something such as RGB can be found at
http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/slidebar/slidebar.html
http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/tabpane/tabpane.html
could be used to break up
different parts of the form - rather than just using 'header'.
A pretty useful (possibly) addition would be the combo box, a text string
and select gadget combined!
http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/combobox/combobox.htm
has the code and a demo to
view.
The site also has some stuff for mozilla.
There also plenty of nice visual effects which can help make forms look
nicer. Maybe it would be good if Quickform had the option to turn them
on/off? One such one is the highlight active form element -
http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/highlightform.htm
For now, that's all.
Regards,
Mike.
