Hello! I recently discovered PEAR and am very interested in the database abstraction package of it.
I was considering possibly implementing this as part of my content management system. I was
wondering if someone might be able to point to the answers for the following questions please:
- Does PEAR always have to be installed by PHP to work? I'm asking because maybe not everyone
has it on their shared servers... If they don't then it would make my CMS incompatible for
them...?
- If it can be used without being installed, what is the best way to approach this with my project?
Should I basically inform them that my CMS requires PEAR and give them a tutorial on how to set it
up to work with eNetwizard?
- Would there be any licensing issues with me using my own homegrown artistic license: http://matrix.enetwizard.net/license.rsw
Thanks in advance!
-Samuel
