There has to be an easier resource out there for programmers then scanning through the PHPDocumentor code, sorry but having a tutorial with examples on the PEAR web site would be priceless.
Jake, if you've convinced yourself to write, let me know when you do, I'd be more then happy to read over stuff for you before you send it out. I'd also be very interested just in the content too.
The documentation for the Date package needs to be done, and badly, there definitly appears to be a fairly high demand. Also, posting here is nice, but if I just want to play and experiment with the package, what am I supposed to do, post and say: "Hey what do ALL the functions in DATE do?"

I'm sure it wouldn't take somebody too long to cut 'n' paste the docs from the code into an HTML page, if somebody actually did I can't see why it couldn't be included (or linked to) somewhere. I use the date class a lot, and it can be a hassle flipping between two lots of source code but it is definitely worth it. I think I might have just convinced myself to do something if people really want it that much and there are no objections. I might be prepared to have a look at scribbling a few notes down if I was to know what sort of things you want in a tutorial and take it from there. I will send an email to the maintainers and see what they say if people really want it done. It really sucks to have to read the source to figure it out.Join the PEAR club :o) The mailing list is a good source of response, I still think a Wiki could help with the documentation build up, saves posting questions about all sorts. - Mike C. -- http://www.buddasworld.co.uk ---------------------------------------------- This mail sent through http://www.ukonline.net
