My tech director who had no clue of web technologies asked the same question a
while back.
I think its possible to store values in a servers memory with a PEAR class.
Problem with storing specific data in memory is it prevents your web app from
scaling across multiple servers.
if you just want to store the class definitions in memory - hmm, not sure about
that! A good option would be to create a virtual ram disk (if under Linux) and
copy your pear classes to this virtual RAM disk. Then add the new ram disk to
your PHP include path. Should load a lot quicker now :)
